SkyAbove Therapy is looking for a passionate and skilled Bilingual Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our supportive special education team for the 2025-2026 school year!

What You’ll Do:
- Implement Therapy Plans: Provide high-quality, direct speech and language therapy to individual students and small groups, following the treatment plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Collect Data: Accurately document student performance, track progress towards goals, and maintain clear, compliant session notes for every therapy session.
- Collaborate with Your SLP: Work in close partnership with the supervising SLP, participating in regular meetings to discuss student progress, ask questions, and receive ongoing guidance and mentorship.
- Prepare Materials: Assist in the creation and preparation of engaging, age-appropriate therapy materials and activities that align with student IEP goals.
- Support the IEP Process: Assist the SLP in preparing for Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and attend as a supportive member of the team when requested.
- Maintain a Positive Environment: Foster a safe, welcoming, and positive therapeutic environment where students feel encouraged to learn and grow.
- Communicate Effectively: Under the direction of the SLP, communicate and function effectively as a member of a classroom and school team (related service providers, paraprofessionals, teachers, administrators, parents).
- Meetings: Attend school district meetings when applicable and/or as requested by the department.
What You Bring:
- Language: A bilingual person who fluently speaks Spanish is required.
- Florida SLPA License: You must hold an active license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant issued by the Florida Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
- Education: An Associate’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program OR a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children in a school, clinical, or daycare setting is highly preferred.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: You are an excellent communicator who can build rapport with students, collaborate effectively with your SLP supervisor, and interact professionally with teachers and parents.
- Detail-Oriented: You have strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail, especially when it comes to data collection and documentation.
- Skills: A genuine passion for working with pediatric populations, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
- Compliance: Ability to pass all required school district background checks.
