SkyAbove Therapy is looking for a passionate and skilled School Psychologist to join our supportive special education team for the 2025-2026 school year!

Work collaboratively in a dynamic school environment, providing essential evaluation and therapy services to students from Early Childhood and Elementary. If you love helping children overcome communication challenges and thrive in their education, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide psychological evaluations of students, either at the school site or in the psychologist’s office when necessary.
  • Consultation services and/or direct appropriate services
  • Services may be provided at school site(s), with parental consent, and scheduled by the ESE designee.
  • Assess / consult with school district staff, teachers, and parents.
  • Provide psychological services to identify students with disabilities or assist a student with a disability to benefit from special education.
  • Meet and consult with professional staff at various school sites.
  • Prepare reports of student evaluations, follow-up treatment, and other information pertinent to the student’s diagnosis as it relates to his/her educational program. Reports should be submitted within two (2) weeks following completion of evaluations.
  • Communicate and function effectively as a member of a classroom and school team (related service providers, paraprofessionals, teachers, administrators, parents).
  • Attend School District EESSS meetings when applicable and/or as requested by the EESSS Department.

What You Bring:

  • Education: A specialist-level degree (e.g., Ed.S., Psy.S., CAGS, or a qualifying Master’s) or higher in School Psychology.
  • Certification: Hold, or be eligible to hold, a valid credential as a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP).
  • Licensure/Certification (Florida): Must be able to obtain the appropriate certification from the Florida Department of Education (DOE) or licensure from the Department of Health (DOH).
  • Skills: A genuine passion for supporting the whole child, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compliance: Ability to pass all required school district background checks.
